Testimonials

I met Peter in between two hurricanes at the first International Creative Cities Summit he produced in St. Petersburg, Florida, September 2004, and it’s been a whirlwind ever since.  Peter is not just a creative thinker; he is a “doer” and one that does so with professionalism and excellence.  I believe there is nothing more important in our work of creative community building than relationships and cultivating collaborations and connections.  Peter does that on a global scale which helps him stay ahead of the trends and gives him a unique perspective to bring to any conversation.

We successfully co-produced the 2nd International Creative Cities Summit in Detroit, Michigan, October 2008, bringing together for the first time on stage in a moderated session by CEOs for Cities Executive Director Carol Coletta, the creative “Big Three”, Dr. Richard Florida, Charles Landry, and John Howkins.  Peter’s relationships helped make this truly momentous occasion happen.

Dear Peter,
We met very briefly at the Creative Cities Summit in October 2008 in Detroit. Thank you for putting on the summit.  Bill Strickland’s speech inspired me to renovate the art room of a Detroit elementary school.

We are a nonprofit bringing art class back to schools in Detroit.  Daimler Financial Services is our largest supporter and funded our renovation idea that became reality on June 26, 2009. They not only funded the project, but on June 26th, forty five Daimler Financial Services employees came to Edison Elementary School and worked all day painting the art room, green house, mural and painting the lines and logo on the basketball court.

Thank you for inspiring us to renovate and bring beauty to Edison Elementary School in Detroit. Not only were we able to renovate the art room, bring the green house back to life, but build a basketball court on their playground.  Who would of thought that the Creative Cities Summit would touch the lives of the 337 students at Edison Elementary School?
